Dr Sean Boyle is my academic title but apparently at 16, when I did my Leaving Cert, I wasn't very academic.
Over the last 35 years, I have worked successfully in the financial, construction and educational sectors and in various guises.
By my mid 30's, I had become the CEO of a strongly competitive multi-depot company in the Plant Hire Industry.
In 2006, I discovered a passion for Psychology and enthusiastically embarked on an academic career which resulted in a B.A. and an M.Sc. in Psychology and Behavioural Research.
In 2015, I was awarded the John & Pat Hume Ph.D. Scholarship in Psychology at Maynooth University for my research into fear among humans in anxiety-inducing environments.
For 6 years I operated Ireland's only dedicated Human Fear Laboratory at Maynooth University and established a strong international reputation in the field of Fear and Anxiety across Europe and the US.
I have a Postgraduate Teaching qualification and have taught, lectured, supervised and mentored undergraduate and Master students in both Psychology and Business.
In 2016, I combined my love of teaching, my business expertise and my understanding of human behaviour, to develop a client-focused, scientific career assessment process which successfully identifies an individual strengths and behaviours.
In this manner, I am able to help people aged between 16-60 to identify their ideal career path regardless of where they are in the work cycle. In fact, my assessment process is equally valuable and applicable to students, career changers, mid-career executives seeking a new challenge as well as imminent or recent retirees.
It is the combination of my scientific assessment process, my applied expertise and my in-depth understanding of career development pathways, which benefits my clients and brings value to my career identification service.
